In the Upper School, mornings are devoted
to classroom academics. Afternoons are spent on sports (soccer, volleyball, tennis,
etc.), projects (art, ceramics, crafts, etc.) and special activities (swimming,
bowling, horseback riding, archery, drama, computer studies, etc.). Evenings are
a mix of free time and academics.
Middle School students spend their mornings and late afternoons on academic subjects.
After lunch, students enjoy participating in sports (soccer, volleyball, tennis,
etc.), projects (art, ceramics, crafts, etc.) and special activities (swimming,
bowling, horseback riding, archery, drama, computer studies, etc.). Evenings are
reserved for group activities such as crafts and games.
In the Lower School, there is even greater emphasis on the outdoors and on recreational
activities that have educational value. Students go on field trips and other outings.
In general, the mornings are devoted to basic reading and math studies.
All students who are 9 or older participate in the school's Student Services program.
Through the program, students contribute 50 minutes a day to the operation and maintenance
of the school, gaining a greater appreciation and responsibility for the work involved.

Student dormitories are located
in the main building and in a dormitory building overlooking the beautiful Willamette
Valley. Living quarters vary from small single rooms to large rooms for as many
as four. Students may bring decorative items for their rooms. There is a free laundromat
on campus.
Faculty members reside with their families on campus near the dormitories, providing
assistance. Students in the Middle School (usually 12 and under) have special advisors
called Personal Teachers who give them the care a child that age requires. Upper
School students also have a Faculty Advisor who provides guidance. A staff member
acting as a medical liaison also resides on campus. Doctors are on call in the nearby
towns of Sheridan and McMinnville; the nearest hospital is 30 minutes away.
Transportation to churches in neighboring towns is arranged by the school for students
who want to attend services. Spacious dining facilities overlook the oak and fir
forest to the north of the main building. The nutritious food is plentiful and locally
grown fruits and vegetables are often on the menu.
Delphi's 800 acres of rolling
hills, meadows, forest and farmlands provide an excellent resource for summer recreation.
Athletic facilities include a large gymnasium which houses basketball, volleyball
and racquetball courts, and a weightlifting and gymnastics room.
Outdoor facilities include a stable with riding horses, an arena and miles of riding
trails. There are baseball and softball diamonds, a soccer field, a running track,
four lighted tennis courts and a playground for younger children. Swimming takes
place on trips to the ocean, local lakes and in a nearby community swimming pool.
There is a student lounge, a phone booth area and a recreation room with a pool
table, ping pong, foosball and air hockey tables, and a well-stocked snack bar.
Our computer facilities include
several new multimedia workstations and filtered Internet access is available on
over one hundred computers throughout the school. Computer classes are scheduled
so that each student has a computer for his or her own use.
